About MEMS

Manchester Elementary Middle School (MEMS) is a K-8 school located in the beautiful Northshire Valley, in Manchester Vermont. MEMS is committed to engaging all students in academic work Currently, MEMS has 380 students and 52 teachers. The school strives to maintain class sizes of 13 – 15 in grades K-3. Class sizes in grades 4 – 8 are between 16 and 22 students per section.

MEMS students engage in a rigorous core academic program and foreign language K-8. Students are also exposed to a wide variety of arts opportunities, both visual and performing. Physical wellness plays an important role in the life of MEMS students. All students participate in weekly classes to build lifelong physical wellness and over 85% of Upper House students participate in extracurricular sports throughout the school year.

The students at MEMS live by three rules:

1. Always do your best.
2. Respect ourselves, others, and our school.
3. Keep learning fun and positive.

These rules were designed and adopted by the entire student body. They guide the daily experiences of all children.
